Bluestone Financial Institutions Fund

Bluestone Financial Institutions Fund is a directional, long-short hedge fund that is focused on investing in the common equity of publicly traded micro, small, and mid-capitalization banks based in the U.S. The fund’s managers believe this space is well positioned to outperform, over the long-term, the common stock of large capitalization banks based in the U.S. and common equity market in the U.S. In addition, the managers contend that the fund’s strategy is well positioned to generate returns on fund assets, over the long-term, well in excess of comparable returns generated by the space. The investment strategy employed is centered on the requirement that the managers understand positions and their associated companies as well as or better than any of their equity market competitors. The fund managers also execute a well-defined portfolio management strategy currently aimed at offering investors substantially reduced market risk or systematic risk. Pursuant to achieving this aim, they closely monitor and manage the portfolio’s weighted average beta. The investment strategy was initiated on March 31, 2013.
